Privacy Policy.

This policy explains what information AI Engineering Collective may receive through this website, email, submissions, and third-party publication or social platforms.

Updated June 8, 2026

Overview

AI Engineering Collective is an independent technical publication. The current website is a static informational site. It does not provide user accounts, payments, comments, analytics dashboards, or advertising tracking.

Most direct personal information we receive comes from people who choose to email us, pitch an article, submit a draft, request a correction, or contact us about a legal, privacy, or accessibility issue.

Information we may receive

  • Contact information: your name, email address, Medium profile, social profile, or professional details if you choose to include them.
  • Submission materials: pitches, drafts, article links, sources, repositories, demos, author biographies, disclosures, and related editorial correspondence.
  • Technical information: basic server or hosting logs may include IP address, browser, device information, requested pages, referrer, and timestamps.
  • Third-party platform information: if you interact with Medium, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Google Fonts, or your email provider, those services process data under their own policies.

How we use information

  • To review pitches, drafts, sources, disclosures, and contributor information.
  • To communicate about submissions, edits, publication, corrections, takedown requests, or accessibility issues.
  • To operate, secure, maintain, and improve the website and publication.
  • To keep editorial, legal, copyright, and compliance records where appropriate.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use this website for targeted advertising.

Legal bases and rights

Where data protection laws require a legal basis, we generally process information because it is necessary to respond to you, review a submission, operate the publication, comply with legal obligations, protect rights and safety, or because you consented by contacting us or submitting materials.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To make a request, email aiengineeringcollective@gmail.com.

Sharing and service providers

We may share information with service providers that help operate the publication, such as email, hosting, security, cloud storage, editing, or publishing platforms. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights, to investigate abuse, or with your permission.

The website loads fonts through Google Fonts. Google states that the Google Fonts API does not set cookies, but browser font requests may send an IP address, requested URL, user agent, and referrer to Google.

Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including editorial review, publication records, legal compliance, dispute prevention, corrections, and archival integrity. If you ask us to delete correspondence or submission materials, we will review the request and delete what we reasonably can unless we need to retain it for legitimate editorial, legal, or safety reasons.

Children

This publication is intended for a general technical audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security and changes

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to a small publication, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. We may update this policy as our website, publication, platforms, or legal obligations change. The updated date above shows the latest revision.
